Safety First

After a little trip to Lowe's, the Kyles are proud owners of
fresh smoke detector batteries,
a lockbox for the gun,
a fire extinguisher rated 2-A:10-B:C,
and a shiny new carbon monoxide detector.

(And, no, we did not already own any of these items. Don't judge.)

Looks like we're all set for our home inspection on Friday.

Okay, well, we still have to move the cans of paint that are being stored next to the water heater and within a child's reach.

But THEN we will be ready.

Moving forward...

Who knew that batteries, a fire extinguisher, and a carbon monoxide detector could be so much fun? :) Hooray for the next step in the Kyle baby adoption process!

cabinet locks, door stops, the thingys that keep door handles from being opened and toilet lid locks are almost as much fun:-) before long that will be the investment:-). So excited for you guys. reminded me that i should actually get a carbon monoxide monitor before we move!

You know they really should do home inspections on people who have babies before they are allowed to leave the hospital with their child. Our homes would be a lot safer!

Becky, I read this blog "It's Almost Naptime" and her family is pursuing adopting from Ethiopia. She posted about it today http://itsalmostnaptime.blogspot.com/2009/10/ethiopia-adoption-q.html and I thought you might find it interesting! :)
